Cells spirally twisted twice with anterior end slightly narrow and forked; posterior end with straight, sharp cauda. Cells measure 97–119 µm long (including tail) and 34–51 µm wide, tail 41–53 µm long. Pellicular striae spiral; paramylon bodies discoid, 1-2 in central part.
